Producer Shant Joshi has been invited to the Whistler Film Festival to participate in their Power Pitch program and speak to top financiers, sales agents, and distributors about making the film, Queen Tut.
For the program, Shant will be mentored by industry consultant and super-connecter Jan Miller (Trans-Atlantic Partners, Strategic Partners, National Screen Institute, Women in Film & Television-Atlantic).
On Saturday December 2nd, Shant will be pitching before an esteemed jury made up of Kirk D'Amico (President of Myriad Pictures), Lejo Pet (Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Open Road Films), and Gosia Kamela (Production Executive in Drama and Feature Films at Bell Media).
Shant will also be attending the festival for the Western Canadian Premiere of Ingrid Veninger's coming-of-age feature, Porcupine Lake, and the World Premiere of Julian Papas's behind-the-scenes documentary, The Other Side of Porcupine Lake.
